Assault in Elizabeth Avenue, Newbury.


Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault in Newbury on Sunday (2nd February).

At about 12.30am, a 20-year-old man was walking down Elizabeth Avenue towards Valley Road when he was assaulted by two people.

He managed to run away from the attackers and phoned police. He was left with bruising to his head and hand.

One of the offenders was a white man wearing a dark hooded top. There is no description of the other offender.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigating officer PC Mark Simpson from Newbury police station on 101.
